- Agreement between the Buyer and the Seller: Both the Buyer and the Seller acknowledge that when the Buyer completes the Check out, it establishes a legally binding agreement between them. This agreement is based on the description and photographs of the Item, the mutually agreed conditions, and the relevant conditions outlined in these Terms. The Buyer commits to making payment for the Item, and the Seller commits to transferring ownership of the Item. GOODZ IS NOT A PARTY TO THIS AGREEMENT AND DOES NOT BEAR ANY RESPONSIBILITY IN RESPECT OF PAYMENT FOR AND TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF THE ITEMS. The consumer rights provided by UAE and (where applicable) UAE consumer protection law does not apply to this agreement.
- Agreement between GOODZ and the Buyer for the provision of the Buyer Protection service: The Buyer Protection service is available for a fee and is included with every purchase made using the "Buy now" button on the Site.
5.1.2 Purchases made without utilizing the "Buy now" button are undertaken at the Users' own risk, and GOODZ will not provide any of the services included in the Buyer Protection for such Transactions. GOODZ EXPLICITLY STATES THAT IT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LIABILITY OR CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM PURCHASES CONDUCTED OFF THE SITE, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IN ORDER TO ENSURE YOUR SECURITY AND THE SECURITY OF TRANSACTIONS, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND COMPLETING TRANSACTIONS USING THE DESIGNATED "BUY NOW" BUTTON AND REFRAINING FROM CONDUCTING TRANSACTIONS OUTSIDE THE SITE.
5.1.3 Shipping Tracking System. GOODZ offers an online tracking system that solely relies on the tracking information provided by the shipping providers for the parcel. THEREFORE, GOODZ DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAWS, IF THE INTEGRATED SHIPPING PROVIDER SUPPLIES INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OR OUTDATED TRACKING INFORMATION.
- BUYER PROTECTION
6.1 Under the Buyer Protection, the Buyer will receive the following benefits:
6.1.1 GOODZ's refund policy allows the Buyer to request a refund for lost, damaged, or significantly not as described Items. Please refer to Section 6.5 for detailed information on our refund policy.
6.1.2 GOODZ's customer support is available to assist with Transaction issues by providing access to Transaction details and guiding Users through the Transaction process. Additionally, customer support can address delivery issues by accessing the delivery status, tracking details, and coordinating with integrated shipping providers.
6.1.3 Safe payments are facilitated through the Integrated Payment System, ensuring the protection of the Total Price. All payments made via the Integrated Payment System are held in Escrow until the Transaction is successfully completed. Further details about safe payments and the Integrated Payment System are provided in Section 9.
6.2 The benefits provided under the Buyer Protection are offered as a combined package and cannot be availed as separate services.
6.3 Buyer Protection Fee: The Buyer will be notified the total amount of the Buyer Protection fees applicable to a Transaction before making the payment. It shall represent AED 4 plus 10% of the Items agreed value.
GOODZ IS NOT RESPONSIBLE OF THE QUALITY, POTENTIAL DEFAULTS OF THE ITEMS EVEN IF THE ITEM ARE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT COMPARED TO WHAT WAS DISPLAYED IN THE ANNOUNCEMENT.
6.5 Process for Requesting a Refund Under the Buyer Protection: The Buyer Protection allows Buyers to request a refund in case of an Item being lost or damaged during shipping, or if the Item is significantly not as described. To initiate the refund process, the following steps must be followed:
6.5.1 Claim Filing Period: To initiate the resolution process and request a refund under the Buyer Protection, the Buyer must report the issue to GOODZ within a period of 24 hours. This can be done by clicking the "Report a problem" button in the Order details page of my order or by directly contacting the customer service. The 24-hour period, referred to as the “Claim Filing Period,” begins when the Buyer receives notification from GOODZ that:
- The Item should have been delivered; or
- The parcel appears to be lost.
During this Claim Filing Period, the Transaction will be temporarily suspended, and the Total Price will be held in Escrow until the issue is resolved.
If the Buyer fails to report the issue within the Claim Filing Period, the Transaction will be considered completed.
6.5.2 Items lost during transit: If the Buyer does not receive the Item, he shall notify GOODZ within the Claim Filing Period. The concerned Transaction will be then temporarily suspended, and the amount paid by the Buyer will not be transferred to the Seller until the issue is resolved.
The Buyer refund request will be then reviewed. The Site will investigate, taking into account all the information transmitted and related to the concerned order. They will be first an attempt to locate the shipment and contact the Buyer if it is found (it could take up to two weeks). However, if the loss is confirmed the Site will cancel the order and the Buyer will be fully refunded under the Buyer Protection.
6.5.3 Significantly Not as Described Items: Items must accurately match with the description and photographs provided by the Seller in the Item listing uploaded on the Site. If the Item received by the Buyer does not meet the description and significantly differs from photographs provided by the Seller, it will be deemed as "Significantly Not as Described." It is necessary for the Buyer to notify GOODZ within the Claim Filing Period. The order will be then temporarily suspended, and the amount paid by the Buyer will not be transferred to the Seller until the issue is resolved.
If the Buyer has chosen the "Delivery" option, follow these steps to submit a dispute:
- Request for Justification: The Buyer should initiate the dispute by providing a comprehensive explanation of the facts to the platform. This should include photographs of any defective or problematic Items, a detailed description of the situation (including all interactions with the Seller), and any other pertinent evidence. This evidence should be submitted by clicking the "Report a problem" button in the order details page in my order or by directly contacting the customer support.
- Thorough Evaluation: The Site will then conduct a thorough assessment of the Buyer's submitted justification, to determine whether it meets the predefined valid reasons for order cancellation. This evaluation involves a careful analysis of photographs, descriptions, and any supporting evidence. The Site may also directly communicate with the Seller for further investigation.
- Cancellation Approval: If the provided justification is deemed valid after review, the Site will approve the order cancellation for Items that significantly deviate from the original corresponding listing. Other Items, without any issues, are not eligible for order cancellation and consequently not eligible for a refund. This process typically takes between 5 and 7 Business Days to complete. THE SITE ACTS AS A MEDIATOR IN SUCH SITUATIONS AND HAS THE SOLE AUTHORITY TO APPROVE OR DENY THE REQUEST AND THUS EXPRESSLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT OF CLAIMS AGAINST THE SITE'S DECISION.
- Return Request: As soon as the Site approves the order cancellation, it is up to the Seller to request the return of their defected Item(s) from the Buyer. In cases of Items not matching the listing, the shipping costs for returning the Item are the sole responsibility of the Seller if they choose to retrieve their Item.
- Refund Process: Once GOODZ approves the order cancellation, and in case of Seller choses to have his Item returned, the refund process for the order is initiated as soon as the order is picked up at the Buyers’ place. It then typically takes between 3 and 5 Business Days to receive the refunded amount on the Buyer’s bank account.
In the case where the Seller does not want his Item back, the Item will be then picked up by GOODZ and either given to a charity or re-sold on the platform. The Seller by confirming that he does not want to get back his Item, expressly renounces to his right of ownership on the concerned Item and will not be in a position to claim any payment or indemnity in this respect either from the Buyer or GOODZ. The same will be applicable in the absence of answer from the Seller on his intention to take back the Item after three different reminders, and in such a case the Seller will be considered has having renounces to his ownership rights over the concerned Item and GOODZ will be free to proceed as described above.
If the Buyer has chosen the "Pick-up" option, follow these steps to submit a dispute:
NO RETURN OR REFUND CLAIM WILL BE ACCEPTED IF THE BUYER INITIATE A DISPUTE AFTER HAVING PICKED UP THE ITEMS FROM THE SELLER.
However, if the Buyers has met the Seller and noticed any defaults on Item at the time of pick-up, he shall directly get back to the Site as FOLLOW:
- Refund Process: Upon approval of the cancellation by the Site, the refund process for the order is initiated. Typically, it takes between 3 and 5 Business Days to receive the refunded amount in your bank account. In case that the Seller does not claim back his Item (in the same condition as explained above), the Buyer will have the choice either to keep the Item or to ask for a pick-up. The Iem will then be sold on the Site or give to charity.
Please note that the angle or lighting in photos can also influence perception and create some differences, such as color and shape perception, may be too subjective to be considered as a fair justification for order cancellation. The Site recommends that, during the Buyer’s purchases, he carefully reviews all photos, listing descriptions, and ask questions to the Seller through the private messaging system to avoid any doubts.
Please note also that some mistakes done in the listing, like naming errors, or a obvious discrepancies between the pictures and the description, or title of the listing can be considered as not enough to justify order cancellation.

6.5.4 Item damaged during transit: If the Buyer notices that the Item is damaged upon reception, he has the possibility to directly refuse the Item. If the shipment is accepted and that a damage is then noticed by the Buyer, it is necessary for the Buyer to notify the Site within the Claim Filing Period. The order will be then temporarily suspended, and the amount paid by the Buyer will not be transferred to the Seller until the issue is resolved.
The report should be done respecting the following steps:
- Request for Justification: The Buyer should initiate the dispute by providing a comprehensive explanation of the facts to the platform. This should include photographs of any defective or problematic Items, a detailed description of the situation (including all interactions with the seller), and any other pertinent evidence. This evidence should be submitted by clicking the "Report a problem" button in the order details page in my order or by directly contacting the customer support.
- Thorough Evaluation: GOODZ will conduct a thorough assessment of the Buyer's submitted justification, to determine whether it meets the predefined valid reasons for order cancellation and the importance of the damage and duly inform the Delivery Partner which may have further request to evaluate the damage. This evaluation involves a careful analysis of photographs, descriptions, and any supporting evidence.
- Mediator role: GOODZ WILL HAVE THE ROLE OF A MEDIATIOR BETWEEN THE THREE PARTIES INCLUDING THE DELIVERY PARTNER AND WILL TAKE CARE OF THE COMPILATION OF THE FILE TAKING INTO ACCOUNT INFORMATION FROM THE BUYER AND FROM THE SELLER, JUSTIFYING THE POTENTIAL DAMAGE DURING TRANSIT.
- Cancellation Approval: If the provided justification is deemed valid by the Delivery Partner after the review and as soon as the Delivery Partner has provided information on the indemnification of the Buyer, GOODZ will approve the order cancellation and release the money to the Seller. Typically, it takes between 3 and 5 Business Days to receive the refunded amount in your bank account. In such case, the Delivery Partner will have the responsibility to fully refund the Buyer, and will therefore have the possibility to pick-up the Item.
6.5.5 Counterfeit Item suspicions: If the Buyer has suspicions regarding the authenticity of Items in his order, he shall notify the Site within 24 hours by submitting evidence (photos, references, description, etc.) that will allow the Site to determine whether the Items are authentic or not. The order will be then temporarily suspended, and the amount paid by the Buyer will not be transferred to the Seller until the issue is resolved.
After our examination (a process that may take several weeks), the Site will inform the Buyer of its decision:
- If the Item is authentic, the Transaction will be definitively concluded, and no refund will be issued.
- If the Item is identified as counterfeit, the order will be canceled, and Buyer will be refunded. This kind of fraud will be directly reported to the government authorities, and all parts will have to follow their requirements.
- You will ask for the Site’s help in case you want to get rid of the Item.
- The Seller Account will bear all the costs related to this Transaction and his Account will be suspended after full and final settlement of all amounts due (the Seller not being able to realize any further sale on the Site).
- DELIVERY
GOODZ is accessible throughout the entire United Arab Emirates. Anyone with an Emirates ID can purchase and sell Items using secured payment methods and logistics services. While it is possible to place orders from a foreign country, it's not possible to have Items delivered outside the United Arab Emirates or sell Items that are physically located outside the UAE. The Item must be physically present within the UAE for selling purposes.
The User has the choice among the delivery and pickup methods indicated directly on the Site, which may, without being exhaustive, include the following methods: pickup by the Buyer at the Seller's residence and pick-up and delivery (with or without assembly) by external partners of the Site.
This option is at the Seller’s discretion so not always available on the Site.
This option requires for the Buyer to communicate with the Seller to collect the Item directly at their place. The Seller will therefore have to give its availabilities and contact details to the Buyer. The date of meeting shall not exceed 7 Business Days from the date GOODZ acknowledges receipt of the payment.
IF NO RESPONSE FROM THE SELLER IS RECEIVED WITHIN THE ABOVE-MENTIONED TIME FRAME, THE SALE SHALL BE CONSIDERED AS CANCELLED AND THE BUYER WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REFUNDED, WHILE THE SELLER WILL HAVE TO PAY THE SITE PENALTY EQUAL TO BUYER PROTECTION FEE.
IF NO RESPONSE FROM THE BUYER IS RECEIVED WITHIN THE MENTIONED TIME FRAME, THE SALE IS CONSIDERED AS CANCELED, THE BUYER WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED.
The Buyer expressly agrees to verify the conformity of the Item at the time of the pick-up, in the presence of the Seller. NO RETURN AND REFUND WILL BE ACCEPTED, AFTER THE CONFIRMATION OF THE PICK-UP.
It is important to note that this option requires the payment to be conducted exclusively through the Site. The Seller details will only be transmitted to the Buyer once the payment has been received by GOODZ. GOODZ WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS CONDUCTED OUTSIDE THE PLATFORM. Buyers and Sellers that are conducting Transactions outside the Site will have their Accounts directly suspended.
The User agrees that information (including their name, phone number, address, and floor level) will be shared once the appointment is confirmed in order to allow the pickup or delivery to take place.
The Seller acknowledges and agrees that for Items’ delivery services purchased through the Site, the Site operates with an external delivery partner ("Delivery Partner"). The Delivery Partner is responsible for picking up the Item from the Seller's location and delivering it to the Buyer.
Upon the Buyer's placement of an order, the Seller must within 48 hours select a time slot for the pick-up of the Item from its location. The Seller understands and agrees that the chosen time slot will be communicated to the Delivery Partner to facilitate the pick-up process. The Seller will be then contacted directly by the Delivery Partner before coming at his place to pick up to verify the availability of the Seller.
Once the Item has been picked up by the Delivery Partner, the Delivery Partner will undertake reasonable efforts to deliver the item to the Buyer's designated location within 24 hours. However, the actual delivery timeframe may vary depending on various factors such as distance, traffic conditions, and other unforeseen circumstances.
The Buyer will also be contacted directly by the Delivery Partner before the delivery to verify that the Buyer is available to receive the Item. For small Items and according to the discussion between the Delivery Partner and the Buyer, it is sometime possible that the Item will be dropped in front of the Buyer’s door.
The Seller acknowledges that once the Item has been picked up by the Delivery Partner, he no longer has direct control over the Items and the delivery process. Therefore, any issues, delays, or damages that may occur during the delivery will be the responsibility of the Delivery Partner if and only if the Items has been picked up and the Item is conformed to the description provided in the listing.
THE SITE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY ACTIONS OR OMISSIONS OF THE DELIVERY PARTNER DURING THE DELIVERY PROCESS. ANY DISPUTES OR CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE DELIVERY SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE DELIVERY PARTNER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
THE SELLER AND THE BUYER ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE DELIVERY PARTNER HAS ITS OWN TERMS AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, INSURANCE COVERAGE, AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION MECHANISMS. IT IS THE SELLER'S AND THE BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW AND COMPLY WITH THE DELIVERY PARTNER'S TERMS AND CONDITIONS WHEN USING THEIR SERVICES.
The Site reserves the right to change or replace the Delivery Partner at its discretion, provided that reasonable efforts will be made to ensure a smooth transition and minimize any disruption in the delivery process.
7.2.3 Delivery and assembly option:
The "Delivery and Assembly" service is available for Items that may require disassembly and reassembly for transport or installation purposes.

Before shipping, the Seller, should ensure that all Items’ components are gathered and adequately protected to prevent any damage during transportation. While our shipping service can handle transportation, it is not responsible for inspecting the Item’s condition. If the Buyer does not provide any updates within 7 days, the Buyer hereby expressly confirms that the order can be either destroyed or given to a charity and without any refund being made to him.
All cost related to rescheduling a delivery that may occur will be borne by the Buyer.

Repeated unavailability on three occasions will automatically result in the cancellation of the order and all costs being charged to the Seller.
